FAQ’s

Do you take insurance?

Whether group or individual, many insurances are accepted, including BCBS, Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna, and Oscar.  If you prefer to self-pay,  I can provide “superbills” for you to submit to your insurance company if you would like.

How can counseling help me?

Counseling can help you by providing a supportive and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges, and develop strategies for personal growth and positive change.

How long does counseling typically last?

The duration of counseling varies depending on the individual and their specific needs, but it can range from a few sessions to several months or longer.

How often should I attend counseling sessions?

The frequency of counseling sessions depends on your specific needs and the agreement with your counselor, which can range from weekly sessions to biweekly or monthly appointments for individual counseling. Groups meet weekly.

What are the advantages of online counseling?

The advantages of online counseling include increased accessibility, convenience, flexibility in scheduling, and the ability to receive therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

Can I receive counseling services if I live in a different state or country?

At this time, I only provide counseling to residents of Georgia and Florida. If you travel out of state or abroad, we will need to reschedule.

What if I experience technical difficulties during an online counseling session?

Technology is great until it decides not to work. While it is rare, technical difficulties can happen. In the event of technical difficulties during an online counseling session, we can decide on next steps such as switching to zoom on your phone, or rescheduling the session to ensure the continuity of therapy.
